1 - ermanaktan.com, Erman Aktan name and copyrights;
Erman Aktan is the name of site owner. Same lawsuits apply to any person with the same name in the Republic of Turkey or any other country. But, this website and all the materials in it, are the personal property of Erman Aktan unless otherwise stated. Using any part of the content, or using t as a whole is solely restricted by the international copyright laws. This also gives right to Erman Aktan to take the matter to the legal institutions at his own will.
2 - Citation policy;
Any content that is not created by Erman Aktan are used with permission from their owners. But there are also some contents that are royalty free or on display for community use on internet. Erman Aktan reserves his rights to declare the permissions he gained, requested or denied from the site visitors.

3 - Privacy policy;
Some information about the visitors are collected through the web pages in ermanaktan.com and/or its subdomains. These are:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that is visiting the page,
- Operating system information,
- Browsing program information (IE, Opera, Firefox, etc...)
- Which links he/she clicks in the site,
- How much time he/she spends visiting the site...
Such information is collected through a third party web site (Google Analytics) and through the site pages themselves. Erman Aktan holds no responsibility for that third party web site about the usage or availability of these information.
A cookie (tiny text file that stores little information about your computer and/or your visiting statistics of a web site) is placed in your computer to collect those information described above. But you have the option to block this file from your browser settings, thus preventing third party web site from collecting information about you. But ermanaktan.com itself also collects information about your visit, without using any file or program. Because it is not dependant on your file system or computer, you can not prevent that information from being collected. If you do not want to share any information with this web site, you can simply close your browser and may not continue your visit.
User accepts that he/she is aware of the truth that any content used in the 'Guestbook' and/or 'Blog Comments' section of the web site is open to public. And therefore any information declared is visible to any user (With unknown intentions and motives). You can not claim any rights about any problem that may arise because of those shared information.
Information collected by the ermanaktan.com itself is not shared by any individual or company except they meet certain specifications (Illegal conditions - 3.1 or Exceptions - 3.2). Any incoming requests that do not fullfill certain requirements are declined without any statement.
3.1 - Legal issues:
Statements described above are ineffective if any or all of the illegal conditions below occurs somehow;
- Any illegal condition that violates the international or national laws or copyright laws, (Including violations outside the limits of this website)
- Posting humiliating or insulting materials in any means possible,
- Posting content that may need approval first without the sole permission of Erman Aktan, (Except guestbook, contact form or mail sections)
- Purposely changing the contents of this website through illegal ways or causing a malfunction and preventing the web site from functioning properly,
3.2 - Exceptions:
People that may use statistical information for self study but not commercial purposes, can request those information. Erman Aktan will decide to share or not share that information but only after 'taking personal rights and benefits of the visitors into account'. Information given out will only include the following:
- Operating system information,
- Browser information,
- Date and time of visiting,
- Used links throughout the site,
- Referring page...
If such information is shared with someone, Erman Aktan may notify the users through site channels (e-mail, blog entry or direct conversation), but he is not obligated to it.
4 - Commercial policy;
ermanaktan.com is not affiliated with any commercial company, advertisement or sale oriented web site. But Erman Aktan can publish advertisements on the site.
There is no entry regarding to internet advertising in the national law of Republic of Turkey, so it is neither legal nor illegal to earn any money through it. But Erman Aktan opts not to use it for any sort of income, in case a legal issue may occur in the near future.
Erman Aktan reserves his right to sell or hire the domian and all its subdomains and rights to declare their current sale/hire costs.
Erman Aktan reserves his rights about selling the contents of this website. He can sell photographs, artworks or other material in the website for once or more than once. Also note that; according to Turkish National Law of Commerce, products that are handcrafted and/or made through personal efforts and are not continuously produced, not an industrial mid-product and not dependant on any standart are exempted from any tax.
5 - Third party policy;
There are photographs of real people displayed on the website. Photographed people are notified and their permissions are taken to display photographs on the web site. People may refuse to give permission for this, or they request to remove their already placed photographs be removed from display. Erman Aktan reserves his rights to change or remove content from this website without any notification to visitors.
Subjects above are also applicable for digital artworks. Images of real people can be used in digitally altered or created artworks.
6 - Content policy;
There is a strict policy in ermanaktan.com and all its subdomains about content and material managament. These policies are not taken from anywhere else, and they are intact from the very first day the website started its online presence.
- No content about any political ideology and/or vision that comments or provokes any particular subject or idea.
- No content that, can be counted as offensive against a real person or group. But there may be some indirect text references or images.
- No content including or highlighting; abuse, provocation, propaganda, agitation or humiliation of a person, group or another entity in general.
- As a direct content or advertisement, no content including or highlighting: gambling, betting, alcohol usage, all kind of pornography and/or abusing someone regardless of nationality, race, gender or age.
- Some images on the website may refer to the commercial bodies that are still operational. Those can be logos, commercial images or published materials created by Erman Aktan and used with proper permission by the owner.
- Also as described in the above statement, some images may refer to unreal or non-existing commercial bodies. Those artworks are spare-time creations and not to be used for another purpose. But coincidentally, they can refer to real life organizations or commercial bodies and they may be removed from the site upon request.
- Erman Aktan may use his own images, or any other material that clearly refers to his personal appearance. In any circumstances, using or copying these images or other materials as a whole or in part is absolutely forbidden and gives Erman Aktan a right to commence.
7 - Undetermined policies;
Policies that are not listed here are counted as reserved rights. Erman Aktan also reserves his rights to share those undetermined policies with anyone apart from authorities.
